Our annual release of the UK's first Eisbock is the highlight of the season and this year we have THREE! And trust us, you’ll want to get your hands (and taste buds) on these.

The Pillars Icebock Story

A little backstory for the uninitiated: Our Icebock isn’t just any lager—it’s a labour of love that starts brewing at the beginning of the year, and then hibernates for nine months. We use freeze-concentration to lock in intense, rich flavours that’ll have you savouring every sip. You can read more about the mastery that goes into brewing Icebock here. 

The awards speak for themselves. This brew has scooped up:

  • UK’s Best Strong Lager at the World Beer Awards 2021
  • Two golds at the 2023 World Beer Awards
  • Beer of the Year at the 2023 London Beer Awards
  • And, oh yeah, a shiny Gold Award  at the 2024 World Beer Awards

Our annual Icebock release. The UK’s first Eisbock, born out of a passion for the art and intricacies of lager brewing. Icebock 24 is our nine-month labour of love—a rich, silky lager with caramelised, toast-like notes that’ll have you coming back for more.

Barrel-Aged Icebock

We’ve teamed up once again with the legends at East London Liquor Company. If you missed last year’s release, don’t make the same mistake twice—this one was awarded Beer of the Year at the 2023 London Beer Awards! That’s right, it’s kind of a big deal.

This year’s batch has been brewed at Pillars Brewery and barrel-aged for nine months in East London Liquor’s Rye Whisky Sherry casks. The result? A rich, full-bodied lager with complex layers of vanilla, toast, and oak.

Coffeebock

What happens when you combine the best lager with the best coffee? Coffeebock happens. We’ve teamed up with our friends at Wood Street Coffee to reimagine our award-winning Icebock. Nine months of conditioning, infused with the finest Brazilian House Espresso, have produced a real show-stopper.

The result is a rich, full-bodied lager with dried fruit, chocolate and toast-like notes.
