This month we hosted our first IWCBD event!
It was such a pleasure to invite women from the outstanding businesses we work with everyday, to join the women of the Pillars team at the brewery. The event was organised by our Marketing Manager Kayleigh, as part of the International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day initiative by Women on Tap. The participants brewed a beer celebrating International Women's Day (March 8th) and supporting a charitable cause.
Our guests took part in a brew day led by our incredible brewer Dani, and supported by GM Rachel and Head of Sales Peter. The brew day experience included observing the brewing activity, participating in some of the brewing tasks and a guided tasting of our beer range. We even waxed our own Icebock bottles and squeezed in a perfect pour competition!
The event aims to provide a networking opportunity to all women interested in the brewing and beer sectors. It was our hope to celebrate women in the beer industry, whilst also providing an insight into the brewing industry to women who might like to pursue a career in brewing or related areas. Hopefully we succeeded in achieving those goals! We certainly intend to make Pillars IWCBD an annual event.
We are so thankful to our lovely attendees and the star of the show, our very own Dani!
For International Women’s Day 2025, we have brewed IWD Pilsner in aid of Solace Women’s Aid, a Waltham Forest organisation which spent over 50 years supporting women to escape violence and build safe lives. We will donate all profits from the sale of this crowd-pleasing, gluten-free Pilsner. IWD Pilsner will be on sale in bottle and keg in March 2025.
You can order IWD Pilsner to enjoy at home from 3rd March 2025.
